Privacy Policy
Last updated: 05 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data AccessWay ("AccessWay", "we") processes when you use AccessWay (https://accessway.co).
1. Customers (website owners)
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored as a hash), interface language, plan and billing status.
- Website data: website names and domains, toolbar settings, scan results and problem reports.
- Payments: handled by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record. We do not receive or store card details; we receive the transaction status and reference.
- Emails: we send service emails (email confirmation, password reset, invoices) through our email provider.
We use this data to provide the Service, bill you, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations (contract performance and legitimate interests).
2. Visitors of websites that use the toolbar
- Preferences chosen in the toolbar are stored in the visitor's own browser (local storage), not in a cookie.
- Usage statistics: when the toolbar loads or is used we record the event type (for example "opened" or the tool used) and the toolbar language. Only if the website owner turns privacy mode off do we also record the page address without query string and a one-way hashed form of a random identifier kept in the visitor's browser. If the browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", the identifier and page address are never sent. We do not record IP addresses or names in these statistics.
- Problem reports: if a visitor sends a report, we store the message, the page address, the browser's user-agent and, only if provided, the email address. The report is shown to the website owner.
The website owner decides to use the toolbar and is responsible for informing their visitors.
3. Cookies
Our own website and dashboard use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions and security (CSRF protection). We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers needed to run the Service (hosting, email delivery, Paddle for payments) and when required by law. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your websites, statistics, scans and reports are deleted; invoice records may be kept as required by tax law.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data and to object to processing. You can delete your account from your profile or contact us at [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
